The theme for 2025 is: Cyber Warfare, Drones, Ethics & Automation: The Complexity of Modern Warfare

Recent developments on the international political stage have prompted many nations to reassess their capabilities. These capabilities encompass not only the defence of national territories but also the ability to control sovereign waters and safeguard critical infrastructure. Simultaneously, the accelerating rise in global temperatures has intensified interest in the Arctic regions surrounding the North Pole, drawing attention from both local and non-local actors.

For Arctic nations, this additionally underscores the need to enhance our capacity to demonstrate presence and assert sovereignty in the Arctic. Meeting these obligations requires these nations to advance military capabilities and invest in modern platforms equipped with cutting-edge propulsion systems, sensors, and weaponry to address the increasingly complex challenges of the future.

The conference aims to bring together STEM students from universities and engineering schools with midshipmen from the Royal Danish Naval Academy and other Naval Academies to discuss these challenges. The conference will feature keynote speakers, small-group discussions, a conference dinner, etc. Additionally, it will be a great opportunity to expand your professional network.
