Master in Military Studies 

Master in Military Studies at the Royal Danish Defence College is a research based higher education programme primarily aimed at military personnel.

The programme prepares officers and future commanders for high-grade joint and single service appointments, both nationally and abroad. Additionally, civilians may complete the master's programme. 

The master’s programme focuses on further developing command  and decision-making abilities, analytical skills and on providing a broad understanding and knowledge of joint/combined operations, strategic issues and management challenges. Also included in the programme is the development of the theoretical foundation for understanding military doctrines, operations, the military’s role in society and military leadership in different contexts.

The Master in Military Studies is a part time study primarily conducted in a blended learning environment. The recommended course of study is three years, totalling 60 ECTS points.
